The system of the small, self-driving car we are developing should be modular enough to have other applications, for example:

  • Search and Rescue: navigation and retrieval in small or unsafe spaces

  • Delivery: food such as Jimmy John’s sandwiches delivered to you via robot!

  • Directions: physically lead people from one place another more effectively than a map or GPS

  • Fleet: many individual robots could come together to achieve a larger task

  • Seeing Eye Robot: the same application as a seeing eye dog, but with less overhead

  • Inspection: if it is unsafe or even impossible for a human to inspect cables/tubes/tunnels, a small robot could instead go inspect the situation

  • Drones: the same principles could be applied to drones
